Chicago Bears Vs. Denver Broncos 12/11/11 Denver CO
Greetings Bears fans. I'm a game day scratch this Sunday. I had oral surgery wed. and I'm still under the influence of the accompanying medications. I won't be able to provide play by play today. I will however, post observation and such as the game plays out. Thanks for you understanding. Everything will be back to normal next week, when they take on the most hated Green Bay Packers.
Go Bears!

There's room aplenty on the #Bears bandwagon this week. So stretch out and enjoy. The offense has been abysmal with Cutler and Forte out, and the last 2 weeks have been painful to watch. And NOBODY is picking Chicago today.
Except me. Maybe it's just Homer-itis, but it's been a long time since Lovie Smith's team dropped three in a row. Even when they're not at their best, the Bears problem areas always seem to be addressed after 2 games. Next week against the Packers looks like an automatic loss, so if the Bears have a drop-dead date, it's this week.
The Bears stopped the Detroit Lions hype in it's track a few weeks ago, and this week they'll at least derail the Tim Tebow overkill. And not a minute too soon.

The #Bears win the toss and defer. They're challenging Tebow right away. Melton sacks him on 3rd down

So far 2 #Broncos poss. , 2 #Bears sacks. Just like last week, Hester doesn't look like he's ready to break with the ball.

#Bears offense is tentative, which'll kill you, especially when the other team knows it.

No Cutler, no Orton. This is not the #Bears #Broncos matchup the #NFL anticipated when they made up the schedule. The Tebow hype is enough to make up for it, I guess. He's gotten a couple of tough 1st down on his arm, just got a terrible roughing call on Briggs

The #Bears need to just keep feeding the beast. Barber will wear this defense down. They need to stick with the run, until Denver forgets the forward pass even exists.

#Bears sack Tebow for the 3rd time. Kid can run though. Got the first. Okoye is down on the field.

#Bears can't pass the ball. Run.Run.Run. Use Barber to loosen up the defense. You cannot keep putting the defense in this position.

Another iffy penalty puts the #Bears even deeper into their own territory, after another fair catch by Hester. Maybe Johnny Knox should go back for a couple punts. Field position battles are the whole story of this ball game. So far, all the action is taking place on the Bears half of the field.

2 minute warning, with the #Bears moving the ball a little. All they really need to do is get to where Robbie Gould can win the game for them.. . A couple nice completions for 1st downs, but it's a well they can't keep going to. On the next 2 plays denver breaks up the plays they knew were coming. 3rd down is almost intercepted, and they have to punt. They're in a place where they can't squander any opportunities.
